What You Will Learn

The School First Aid course covers a wide range of essential skills for managing emergencies involving adults, children, and infants:

Assessment of Collapse

Recognising and managing adult, child, and baby collapse.

CPR and Defibrillation

Practical training in CPR techniques and safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Recovery (Stable Side) Position

Learn how to protect the airway and reduce the risk of aspiration by safely placing an unconscious person into the recovery (stable side) position.

Airway Management for Choking

How to respond when a person is choking, including infants and children.

Injury Management

• Splinting fractures

• Supporting sprains and strains

• First aid for bleeding and burns

First Aid for Medical Conditions

Recognition and initial management of common conditions such as asthma, allergic reactions, diabetes, and seizures.

• Standard option: 5 hours face-to-face training

• Blended option: 4 hours face-to-face + 1 hour online learning module

• Split option: learn over 2 evenings, 2.5 hours each evening
