With over two decades of experience in the ambulance service, I began my career in 2004, qualifying as a paramedic with Yorkshire Ambulance Service in 2009. Driven by a desire for growth and new challenges, my family and I emigrated to New Zealand, where I expanded my expertise, becoming both an Intensive Care and Extended Care Paramedic.
My true passion lies in education. After lecturing on the paramedic degree program at Whitireia in Porirua, I now channel my knowledge and experience into teaching first aid and clinical education through the First Aid Collective.
Outside of work, I embrace an active lifestyle, enjoying mountain biking through New Zealand's stunning hills and windsurfing whenever I get the chance.
Kia ora, I’m Noah
I grew up in the Kapiti Coast and have always lived in the wider Wellington Region. I now live in Porirua where I’m in the third year of my Paramedicine degree
I aim to graduate at the end of this year to start working full-time as a Paramedic, but until then I’m working part-time for Wellington Free Ambulance as an Event Medic
I’ve also worked as a Heath Care Assistant since 2019, and in 2022 I began exclusively working in specialised wound care.
I’ve always been fascinated with the human body and the medical world, especially the social aspects of providing health-care in the community and enhancing health literacy.
I really enjoy teaching first aid to others. Being able to use my own life experiences and passions to aid other peoples learning is invaluable to me and I look forward to being a part of people’s learning experience.
Róisín is a third year Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) student and a First Responder with Wellington Free Ambulance.
